I teach and practice because culture, spirit, and community are medicine. My work lives in the “Ways of my Folks”, the lineages of family, heritage, and land that I come from, that made me, so everything I offer returns you to the relationship wtoyour body, your ancestors, your people, and this place.

How I teach

In our small circles, we learn to listen deeply, to cook and craft with plants, to practice simple ritual, and journal what we learn so you leave with practical tools you can use at home. I believe in being culturally rooted and every class begins with sacred listening and clear agreements.

Classes & Courses

​

• Deepening the Circle: Spiritual Herbalism- four Saturdays with one plant Deva each month; building a relationship with the plant, fine-tuning our listening skills to be receptive to plant spirits, medicine-making, kitchen practice, and ceremony.

​

• Ancestor Work as Spiritual Resistance (101 & 201) -is an eight-week  journey that builds altar practice, connection to your ancestors, your ancestral stories, protection and boundary work, grief tending, and liberatory ritual.

​

• Workshops: Ancestor · Healing · Spirit Doll - 3–6 hour soul-craft circles for groups and families.

​

• Talks & Community Learning - Culture as Medicine; Village-Building & Reculturalization; Body as Friend; Ancestral Dreamwork; Spiritual Herbalism in community care.

• Professional Massage - integrative, consent-based bodywork for relief and reset.

• H.A.R.T. Method Fire Cupping - Chinese cupping, Mesoamerican ventosas, and European cupping blended with Western assessment.

• Ancestor Readings — seership, mediumship, and pattern reading to understand ancestral threads, visitations, and gifts.

• Spiritual Cleansings, Soul Retrieval & Sacred Listening - consults, spiritual cleansings (egg, smoke, herbal, sound), soul retrieval, altar guidance, protection/blessing for self, home, and business.

How I came to these teachings

I was raised within African American and Northern/Eastern European families and co-raised by a Colombian family. That mix taught me that food, story, and ceremony bind us back to ourselves. 

​

My practice blends sacred listening, Curanderismo, spiritual herbalism, African Diasporic wisdom, Afrocentric Kemetic studies, and Norse Germanic wise woman ways (Völva Stav). I also work across traditions as an invited guest in a Mesoamerican Indigenous tradition.

Learning lineage (teachers & mentors)​

• Formal apprenticeship in community cultural wellness, with board and program service.

• Mentorship in herbal, nutritional, and somatic healing (a “Body as Friend” approach).

• Ongoing guidance from African Diasporic elders and ATR practitioners.

• Training and service within a Norse–Germanic root-cultural practice (Völva Stav) through the Volva Stav Guild.

• Continuing Curanderismo study with respected maestras/maestros and community healers.

• Further learning in dreamwork, ritual practice, and spiritual herbalism.

Sliding scale & pricing ethics

I use a multiple-tier sliding scale, so money never blocks care. Pay at the level that reflects your current resources. Community Care contributions help fund Access seats and scholarships. Payment plans are welcome. Reciprocity, transparency, and shared responsibility guide how I charge.

Baami’s is a small, community built studio at Duafe House (N 44th Ave, Minneapolis), steps from the learning garden. I created it to keep bodywork close to the land and accessible to the neighborhood. Street parking and parking in back is available.
