Service Description
Fire Cupping & Massage Integrative Somatic Care I’m Donyelle Headington, CMT, founder of Folkway LLC and steward of Duafe House in North Minneapolis. I practice the Ways of my Folks, the lineages of family, heritage, and land, through sacred listening and trauma informed touch. I am a graduate of a massage school in St. Paul, MN and received advanced training in the H.A.R.T. Method of fire cupping at Adagio Holistic Therapies. What is H.A.R.T. Fire Cupping? With a brief flame, a gentle vacuum is created inside glass cups that are placed on the skin. This lifts tissue, increases local circulation, moves lymph, and helps release fascial adhesions and places that feel stuck. The H.A.R.T. Method integrates Chinese fire cupping, Mesoamerican ventosas, and European cupping with both Western and Chinese assessment. It is slow, listening work that meets your nervous system where it is. How I massage My massage is integrative and nervous system centered. I draw from Swedish flow, myofascial and positional release and focused trigger point work. Sessions are consent based. We agree on areas, pressure, pace, and whether we include cupping, massage, or a combo. Touch is intentional, steady, and respectful of your boundaries, culture, and story. We begin with a brief check in through sacred listening, and we end with simple take home care. What a session feels like Expect warmth, unhurried pacing, and clear communication. Cupping may be placed and left to work, or gently glided with oil (called sliding cups) for broader release. Massage integrates the changes so your body can reorganize. After care Hydrate, keep the area warm for 24 hours, and go easy on intense workouts that day. Gentle movement, a mineral bath, and an herbal tea can extend the relief. Cancellation Policy
I understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, making schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, I request at least 24 notice. My Policy: Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee. The amount of the fee will be equal to 40% of the reserved services. If you are more than 30 minutes late for your service, I may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee will apply.
