Come Sit with Nettles Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Location: Duafe House, North Minneapolis Cost: Sliding scale $150 – $300 for the full series (payment plans & partial scholarships available) About the Series This May, we turn toward Nettles, our fierce and protective plant kin, known for its sting and its lingering presence. Together, we’ll spend time with Nettles learning some botany, stories, spirit and Nettle medicine. We will sit with it and get to know it as neighbor, teacher and friend. We’ll be working with Nettles as a way of learning how to work with other plants. How to listen, how to approach, how to pay attention over time. Each person will be building their own relationship with Nettles, noticing how it meets them, how it shows up, how it speaks. We’ll set aside fixed meanings and make room for Nettles to teach. And what it teaches you may not be the same as what it teaches someone else. That’s part of the work. This is slow, intentional work. The small group size allows space for each person to be witnessed, to listen deeply, and to build relationship over time. We Will; *Meet the spirit of Nettles and discover your unique connection *Explore the magical, physical, and spiritual uses of this powerful plant *Learn to identify, harvest, store, and prepare Nettles with care *Create your own Nettles medicine to bring into your home practice *Listen for the teachings and guidance Nettles offers you personally *Learn through story, touch, taste, prayer, and shared ritual *Build relationship with Nettles as a Deva, a being with personality, presence and intelligence You’ll Receive *Time in the sun and garden (weather permitting) * A Nettle-infused garden brunch e week * One session of cooking together with Nettles * Fresh plant material each class * Medicine-making such as tincture, salve, or ritual item * Craft project such as an amulet, altar tool, or botanical art * Monthly plant-focus zine * Guided meditations, journaling prompts, and group sharing This series is for anyone wishing to form a living relationship with a plant and integrate it into their magical, physical, and spiritual practice. Registration Sliding scale \$150 – \$300 for the full four-class series. Payment plans and limited scholarships available.
